i noticed a red warning light pop up on the dash of my 2000 sunfire the other day and i'm not sure what it means because i don't have the manual,
its on the right side and looks like a jug on top of water with an arrow pointing down

you're either low on coolant, or faulty low coolant sensor. I'd suspect low on coolant, top that bad boy up and you'll be doin fine...
