OKAY, if anyone else is like me, that carpet-like material on the side door panels looks freakin stupid. Does anyone have any clue how to get rid of it?? I'm wanting to replace it with just solid black...... any suggestions? Thanks!
ive got an 01 cavalier and i put tweed over that part. The worst part is getting that piece off and finding a way to put it back on because its plastic welded on. I fiberglassed it back on and i live in arizona where it gets up to 115 deg. outside and it fell right off. Im waiting for it to cool down so i can put some liquid nails on it to make it stick.
there a few posts laying around somewhere where it deals with this

i pulled the plastic welds, and covered mine with tweed also. then used liquid nails to resecure it. when i did it, i layed the liquid nails, set the arm rest in place, and left a 20lb weight on it for 2 days. prolly overkill on 2 days, but its held for over a year.
