Power Locks

Hey everyone,

I'm new here, I just got my 03 Cavalier. I am wanting to put power locks in it but i am not sure what type of locking system it has. I have heard of the rod locking style or the cable locking style. I have changed locks before, but only in older cars that have the rod lock style. The "style" that I am talking about is only the actual mechanism that moves the locks: either a solid rod that locks the door or a cable (like a brake cable from a bike) that does the same thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Also, if you could point me in the direction of any posts that say how to get the dash and door panels off enough to get to the wiring and locks would be great. Thanks!

Dan

it should be a rod style, what youre talking about.

The door panles have 4 screws on bottom, two in door handle, and i in mirror, other wise, just clips

for dash, theres plenty of links, just do a search

So getting the standard "pistol" style actuators should do fine? I am just making sure before I go out and buy a kit. I don't want to waste money on the wrong kind of kit.
