I've seen reverse glow gauges in all shapes colors sizes models, etc, but not for 03+ cavaliers.

I've read with these years of cavaliers you can't remove the needles (well... you can .. but you can't get them back on lol)

do reverse glow gauges exist for us, or are we SOL?

i've seen some for the 00-02 that have the same layout as my cluster (fuel, temp, speedo, tach), and have contacted the seller and they said it won't work for my car.

it looks like it could be installed very carefully.... if you were to angle all the needles up, slide the gauge overlay down parallel with the cluster, and slide the needles through the holes, and have a friend push down on the needles so they don't pop off on accident...

Search next time , but to answer your questions...yes they do make them try ebay thats where I found mine and no you do not have to remove the needles just do as you said, carefully move the needles up and slowly work the gauges over and around them until you clear them and have the gauges positioned corectly.

I ran into that same problem, then I searched a tad more and found them for an 04. Despite the fact mine is an 05, they still work. The clusters from the 03-05 are the same. I believe their the same from 2000-05, but I'm not sure off hand.

in the past I've messaged a seller on ebay asking if the gauges would work with my car, and he said no.

You could try SpeedHut.com, they make the overlays for 03-05's. The needles don't come off but like Rick said you just have to be careful when pulling the overlay over the needles.
