getting rid of the painted interior look and trying to get back to a stock look. everything that was blue has been painted over with a flat black...( but for some reason, looks gloss black ) figured i'd just dye all the vinyl to match and make the whole interior black. and just like the subject says...is the removal of the steering wheel to get the dash out really necessary? i was thumbing through the haynes book, and looking at their illustrations, it doesn't seem like you have do. all they did was removal the air bag.
No, the removal of the steering wheel is not necessary to remove the dash.
Removal of the airbag is not needed either.
But it makes life much easier if you do remove it.
