I need some help guys & I searched and couldn't find anything on this.
I installed my commando power door locks today. Everything went fine except when I went to try them. Instead of locking the doors it wants to keep unlocking and stay unlocked. The five wires are color coded, so I matched them up, Black, White, Brown, Blue & Green.
The instructions mentioned "In some car mechanism, reversed actuator wires is required for normal function". For two-wire actuator, switch green (blue) - green (blue) and blue (red) - blue (red) to green (blue) - blue (red) and blue (red) - green (blue). Repeat this step for white (purple) / brown (brown wires) for 5- wire actuator if required.
These instructions might as well be in another language, cause I can't make any sense of it. I think my brain is fried from looking at this too long! Any suggestions and help would be Greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
explian this, real quick, what switch are you using?
the actuator should only have two wires, green and blue... the rest would be if youre running it through a set of relays.....

Anyone??
I guess I can unhook the other wires (Black, White, Brown) and leave the Blue & Green connected? What about a ground? Is the main ground on the harness the only one I need? I'll be adding an alarm soon and do I need any of these wires for the lock/unlock for the remotes??
Sorry for all the questions & Thank You for the help.
Peace Out!
i had the same problem and me and my dad were messing around and switching the wires around and it worked finally. Check your ground. I think our problem had to do with grounding. Switch the wires around and see if it works.
can you post some pics on what the actual harness looks like, cuz you got me slightly flustered on the 5 wires.
once you get an alarm in this, i doubt that you will need the central locking system, cuz then you should be able to just use the blue and gren wires...
without actually seeing what everything looks like i can't give a positive answer.
the grn & blu, should be the standard for teh actuator motor, the black sould be the ground, and then either the white or brown be the constant 12+, but either way that leaves you with an extra wire.... so obviously that can't be right.
from the link, it also looks like there is teh 5 wire deal on the actualtor itself. thats why i want to see what the wiring laout looks like.

Ben, I assume that you have the five wire actuator? What wires did you connect? (ie: blue to blue, or brown to white, etc, etc??) I don't think it's a grounding issue, I have the ground connected to the battery with some other grounds.
I'll get a pic up soon. (Damn, I knew I shouldn't have let the ex keep the digital camera!)
Thanks for all the suggestions & Help!
Peace Out!
