im so glad i decided to put a sunfire cluster in my car, it looks so much better than the stock cavy gauges, the red lettering is easier to read, and the instruments are just larger. so theyre easier to read, better looking, and.....better looking. wonder why gm didn't just save a few bucks and only make one cluster

Totally agree.
How did you get them so cheap on ebay.. I saw them for 100+ without shipping..
not trying to thread jack, just curious what year(s) cluster would fit into my 04 cavi?
If it doesnt break then you didnt drive it hard enough!
Any 00-02 is swapable, and i THINK any 03-05 is swapable.
00-05 are all swappable
I got
LUCKY! I'm close friends with a girl who bought a 2001 Sunfire GT and hated the red. I offered to trade her everything, and she loved the idea. So I have the gauges, HVAC panel/knobs, and window switch now. Matched my red speckled interior much better along with my cars styling.
Only captured the lighting if blurry, oh well....and yeah big shout out to that ABS light that I'll never fix-
that fire cluster does look kinda good with that simple jdm look...how long did it take you?
ok, all 00+ j body clusters are interchangable as far as i know. i put a 2002 sunfire cluster in my 03 cavy, so i bet any 00+ cluster would work
and as far as installation, remove dash pad, takes about 1.5 minutes, unbolt cavy cluster, about 30 seconds, unplug and remove cavy cluster, about 10 seconds, and then reverse procedure. i had mine swapped and running in about 5 minutes

Yeah as said, all 00+ are interchangable as the wiring is the same. The BCM also stores the mileage, so no worries there. Swap is all plug and play.

You can remove the dash pad without taking out the entire dash? How!?

right....im bout to make a run to a junkyard an hour away if you can do it in 10 mins. howabout.....does any fires out there want to get rid of the red?
So what are the options for my 99 Fire? I'd like to change mine but

i remove the side panels by the fuse box and the one on the other side by pulling them out. i remove the windshield defroster vent by unscrewing and unclipping it, then i unbolt the dash pad bolts that are easy to find all over the dash pad, then pull it off. it comes off pretty easy. i have a cavalier, not a sunfire so mabey its harder on the fires to remove i dunno
