yup as the titlle says,my trunk won't close,i've heard something bout adjusting it but not sure how to do it,can somebody tell me how?and yes its an 03 cav
have you tried making sure the latch isn't locked closed
if it is stick a screwdriver in there like it was the bar
on the upper part and pushing the releas button while
pulling upward on the screwdriver.
Mine stuck.. but i fixed it with a screw driver, then once i rattled the thing so loose that it would wobble back so much it would just not even touch the latch.. i fixed that with a black ziptie!

latch is not locked i think the metal thingy on the trunk where the latch attcahes is kinda messed up how do i fix that?
i had to re ajust the trunk lid. its just 4 bolts on the trunk u manuver the trunk and lock it in place and just tighten the bolts. i had to replace the trunk arms.

Take a claw hammer and position one (or both if there is room) of the claws in the "metal thingy" and pry up. Don't pry up too far though, or you're trunk latch will rattle.
