Just needed to say that.
No matter how i wire the switch the leads are so close together that they short out and blow the push button section on it. these are really badly made.

They do make female connectors with plastic around them to prevent what I believe you may be speaking of.....................
Dunno.
Those are the connectors that I am using. I emailed Ignited in hopes that they would send me just the black box part so that I solder wires straight to the connector and then heat shrink around them so they dont touch.

If you're using shielded connectors how they contacting each other then?
Sorry but I do not understand why you're having a problem with this.
i thought you were talking about the ones with just the connector and the plastic bottom. I'm just using those not the ones with the plastic around the connector.

If you can't wire that switch without shorting it you need to stop doing your own wiring. That switch has plenty of room.

umm okay. With using connectors it doesn't have enough room. The smallest connectors i could find are still to big. So I'm going to solder the connections and use heat shrink to protect them. As for my wiring skills. I know I'm not the best at it but that doesn't mean I'm going to stop doing it myself. I know what i did wrong and I learn from my mistakes. I was just mad last night and that just added to the fire (need to stop trying to quit drinking).

looks pretty easy, just get some solder and heat shrink and it should be a snap

all the connectors are too wide to be exact. I dont see a problem with soldering the connection.

what about the .125 sized females, they would e the same size that goes on one side of a regular speaker.....
but then again, youre gonna solder it on there, which is a better way oof going about that problem..... any particular reason why you didn't want to solder it in the first place?

Um... if you ever need to remove the switch you'll need to cut crap.
It just doesn't make sense to me... I have an IGNITED push button starter. I used female butt connectors and wired it up like that.
Works like a charm.
I really don't know what your issue is...
Good luck.

I had an ignited purge button for my Zex kit. It was illuminated and it looked awesome at night, go to a parts store and buy the proper crimp on fittings, it will be worth the effort when your done.
good luck
