Installing Racing Seats

Alright, I'm pissed . . .

I bought these nifty racing seats that are the same ones on Jason's site here: Blue/Black Racing seats . Well, I got them from Ebay at at the bottom it said "APC Mounting brackets required and can be bought at any Pepboys/Auto Zone. Well, I got the seats, they have the sliders and everything and no brackets. I looked at 2 different Pep Boys and 2 different Auto Zones and neither one even heard of these mounting brackets and they don't carry them. So my question is, where do I find them?! I ran a forum search and came up swith nothing and I've even checked Ebay and came up with nothing. I checked Jason's site to see if he sold the mounting brackets for them as well, and of course, they don't. So what the hell do I do?!

If anyone is selling these brackets or know where to find them, could ya please help?

you make your own or rework your factory brackets. thats what most people do mine where easy to rework. iv never seen aftermarket brackets for our cars before but im sure someone makes them

I knew there was something shady about the "APC" ones, and I should've looked into it first off before I bought them. I don't know @!#$ about how to make seat brackets. I can't find these aftermarket brackets anywhere *sigh*

I don't have any ways of cutting or drilling into metal. So all these dremmel's, and cutting steel and what not, I can't do any of that.

I'm just screwed. Its great, all the pep Boys and Advance Auto Parts, etc that I've called, have no listing of this part anywhere. So I'm at a loss of what to do.

*sighs*

Well I found that topic, but I'm not sure of the measurements.I guess I'll have to assemble the seats from what i can and see if I can get the right measurements

Today in metal shop, I cut some metal up to size.

basically I have a large flat piece that gets bolted to the bottom of the seat, then I will bolt the universal sliders to the large flat piece of steel, then I will bolt the sliders to some flat bar I cut up.

It's too difficult to explain...Once I get home I'll snap some pics of what I'm currently making.

its not that difficult. either pay someone to make them for you, or you can buy my current ones when i have my new ones

Man, that sucks. I was actually lookin into gettin those same seats, ( i think). Here, check this site, they look like the same seat http://www.shophyperformance.com/store/001175.html

Maybe they have the brackets u need, or at least point u in a direction, its worth a try. Hope it helps.

Yup, those are about the same seats. I found a company who makes brackets for these seats. Its a site called "wedgeenginerring" or something like that. The f*ckers want almost $130 a bracket too. Talk about a rape and a half. I'll just wait until Eazy hooks me up with his, lol
