Ok,
I've got a 99 z24 and last night while driving home my dome light came on and stayed on for no reason. I tried the dimmer switch and while it dimmed my dash lights, it didn't have any affect on my dome light. I stopped the car and pulled the bulb out so I could see out the back. When I started the car, my map lights located in my rear view mirror wouldn't go off! damn. Pulled those bulbs. I haven't done any upgrades to the interior other than upgrading the stereo but that was 2 years ago. Any hints or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Could be a faulty door switch.
sounds like a door switch my 99 had that when in got ass cold out side

Don't forget to check both switches. (driveer's and passenger's). Only mentioned it because you said switch and not switches.
