how big are the stock seats in my 97 cav conv.? im thinking about getting these racing seat from bomz but the 37 inches tall. i dont want it to look wierd and all, especially it being a convertable.

tomorrow or friday i will measure the back of my stock seats and let you know how high they were

BTW mine fit in the vert fine

i know they fit but im wondering if they look wierd being so much taller than the stock seats.

the stockers were about 36" tall with the head rest all the way down. don't forget that your new seats will sit lower unless you attach them directly to the stock brackets and sliders.

alright ! then ill spose this Q...........why do we need sliders.... if its just for you? cant put our seat in with a solid mount just for the person driving the car...and how

I'd say just mount a box around the studs and bolt it down, have extensions leading to where you want the seat to sit and bolt the seat to the extensions. You'd have to do alot of measuring to get it right and then you'd have to figure out how high you wanted the seat. I'll see if I can come up with a drawing.

Pretty much do the same thing as this except you'd have to decide how tall the box would need to be and then have a way to mount the seat to the box (longer bolts through an extension of the box I'd guess).
