What sticks to the headliner?

Hi guys,

I have developed another great new product but need some help before I can make a batch for ya...

I templated and created the prototype for a carbon fiber plate that fits in the curved area around the power sunroof button. Fits like a charm and looks great but I CANNOT get the thing to stick to the headliner. I should have known 3M tape would not work on fuzzy material but I gave it a shot...

Anyway, what glue should I try next? I have the 3M 77 spray adhesive but figured I'd see if there was someting better first.

Thanks! I'll post pics and offer these for sale as soon as we have a working model.

Steve

id use the 3m super 77 or if you want something more permanent, use some liquid nails

RIP Kasey Burleson, and get well soon Chris Shelly

there is a little metal clip that goes around that hole and it reinforces the opening for the clips on the plastic button.

i think that is what you are talking about

but if this is what you are talking about then it just clips onto the little metal peice.

srry i couldnt be more help!

I'm actually referring to a new piece of carbon fiber plate that I want to stick to the headliner, think I'll go with the adhesive spray and hope for the best...

Thanks!

5 or 10 min epoxy, automotive molding cocking, fibreglass resin, 3m must have a catalog with all the glues epoxy telling you what it works with best i.e.: wood, metal, plastics rubber etc.. i seen it on a snap on truck i'm looking for a glue for my cloth when i do my doors and headliner i just don't want it to bleed thru the cloth! good luck send a pic!

got a pic? i would just crazy glue that bitch in. If the material doesn't get eaten by it, i put my modifiers together with that stuff it "melted" the plastic togather.

i used a peice of velcro just the hook side to stich the remote for my deck to the roof and it holds great. you would just need a big peice.
