Tach mount?

I basically have no idea where to remount my tach....5 inch autometer gmperformance tach no shiftlight...right now in the middle of my dash...i was thinking of mounting where my visor is now on the drivers side....or would that be tacky...any advice is appreciated

Once i get mine I am going to mount it right next to the center console, it's a little hard to explain on here, but if you are sitting in your drivers seat and lock where the HVAC is move a little to the right and that's where mine's going.

id like to see when you get it done....i gotta pick my shift light up but i think i am going to mount mine off the headliner

thats a huge ass tac. dont they make gauge clusters with the tach for 03+ ? if they do you should just get one of those man. but if i had to say where i would say far left on top of the dash near the piller so its kinda out of the way.

yeah the cluster does have a tach...but my girl is not to good with the stick plus i like the look of a big nasty tach....i have thought of mounting it where you said....i might just end up doing that...thanx brian

If the tach is only like 2.5 inches thick i would suggest putting it right where the passenger side center vent is. I made a bracket out of aluminum for mine but i have a slim sunpro tach. I will be selling it shortly though as I am going to put a shift light in my vent and use an rpm window switch for my new setup.

post some pics when your done so we can see how it came out for you.
