Hi, here's the deal, I covered my headliner maybe 2 months ago, but I didn't do it right and it wasn't looking so bad, but I need to redo it for a possible car show. The thing is that I removed the dome light and made one with leds (ponitac logo), to do that I cutted the bump where the light was, I used some metal grill and a kind of metal dome to put my custon light in. Now I want to put it completely flat and make another custom light and add a functionnal light (with red leds don't try to find something you dropped in your car...) in some kind of module. Rectangular one with the 2 lights in. What should I use to fill the hole, the vynil must have something to hold on or it will make a big bubble in the middle of my headliner. Thanks!!
fiberglass, or you could get some plastic or something else to fill the gap, and use liquid nails to hold it in place.
pics of what you have currently or what you want to do would be helpful though to give better opinions
RIP Kasey Burleson, and get well soon Chris Shelly
finally i used cardboard, to close the hole, but now I need something to fill the spaces that remain and make it smooth so the module will hold just fine. What should I use???
