removing the e-brake handle

Can anybody tell me how to get the e-brake handle off? I replaced my shift knob with an aftermarket one now i wan't to replace my e-brake handle as well but can't remove it. If you know how or done it before please let me know.

You have to cut the plastic off. Only way.

no just take ur time with it

it'll come off


lol cut it off lol

then how they get it on lol

just take ur time u'll get it off with out breaking anything

it's like the shift knob just has some glue holding it

My shift knob was held on with a metal clip on the front side just above the boot.

If im right and i might not be there are cuts in the metal making spikes that hold it on. You will have to cut it off.

hey thanks guys, i'll check that out, if i do have to cut it off then so be it. I'm gonna be putting on a new one anyway.

there are metal barbs. you have to cut it.
