Ok, So I really want to switch my cavaliers guage cluster to a sunfire's. (00-02). IS this swap a direct switch over, no custom work required ? (will the sun fire guage cluster fit in no prob to my 00, seeing as it will be from a 00-02 sunfire+++).
Any help on this would be great !

if you switch out one with no tach for one that does...does the tach work? lol

i don't think 00+ came without a tach, but it most likely will work, as long as your not trying a 00+ cluster in a 95-99

but what about a 95-99 cluster with a tach, swapped for a 95-99 cluster without one...

^ If you really wanted to, sure. You have to do more work, for the analog odometer clusters you'd have to swap out the tumblers (don't try to change them). For the digital ones, you'd have to send them out to get calibrated.

The swap went over great, I eneded up getting a cluster from a 2004 sunfire GT, it looks fantastic in comparision to my old one. Install was dead on easy as well. Thanks a ton.
BUT the wreckers would not sell me the center console peice from the fire with the heater control ect... They said If I wanted the front peice I would have to pay them for the entire heater control assembly......
