My Back Seat

Just testing on how to post a pic. Anyway heres a couple of picks of my back seat. It's still got to come out to be finished. At that time I will clean up the cables, I just wanted to drive the car for a while to make sure nothing falls apart.

I'm NOT hatin on you, but I am very confused by your choice of color, etc.

and what in God's name is that horn-like thing coming off your console?

If nothing else, it is very interesting. I'd like to see it in person to get a better look.

Good Luck!

The odd coloration is because I had these four amps in two different trucks. The two top ones were linked using the link that is now on the bottom. I painted the truck candy magenta fading to purple on the bottom (using a candy blue base to create the purple) and the amps were vertical in that truck. The other amps were in my convertible s-15 that I used for work. When I finish this setup I'm going to paint them either black, red or white, which is the color scheme I'm going with. The "horn looking thing" is a capacitor.

That is the console. I didn't like how it looked just ending at the seats and tried to tie it into the back enclosure but I wanted to be able to remove all the pieces easily. It does look stupid in these pics. When the seats are back it looks much better and makes sense as to the design. It's one of those 50/50 deals, half the people like it and half don't. The console is not done yet and that piece is not permanently attached, so I might change it, although I have no idea what I would do with the cap there is just no room left to put it other than the floor in the back and that looks like an afterthought.

If you can fit back seats in that small area back there, I would hate to be the person in that back seat that accidently touches those wires on the capacitor. That will be one heck of a shock.

looks like your off to a real good start. i'll like to see it when its done, and hopefully your going to do some fiberglass work on the doors because that speaker pod looks out of place.

I am waiting for my seats and belt to come in to do the door panels. I cant do anything until I get rid of those annoying convertible shoulder restraint pods on the door.

I'm trying to do this as cheaply as possible.I have a fairly radical S-10 I want to get back to. I know I could get better sound if I upgraded but I just can't see spending a ton of money in to this car. I had from previous cars; the subs the ampsand the head unit. as for the sony's I heard them, they sounded ok, but they were red , this might sound stupid but I'm going with a red, white and black color scheme, so color does play an important part of decisions like this. It's in great shape. It was owned by and old lady who never drove. It has been garage kept and was used to get the paper once a week for about the last 4 years. How do I know this you ask, because it was my mothers car. It had less than 90,000 on it when I got . No rust and the worst thing it needs is a new top, last winter the stitching along the edges gave up. Anyone know of a place to get a new top? I am looking for a white one.
