Red Interior

Ok, this is what I've got up 2 now

Also, I did the clear knobs like 15 minutes ago, and I painted the vent on the top, and on the sides

I want to get lights in tehre, but I don't know that step to take after, I mean I can go a bunch of ways, like LED's, or neons, in the vents, under the seats, behind the HVAC thing, behind the dash, etc. etc.

Anyone have any ideas what do do next???

Thanks

change out the steering wheel

fiberglass the top dash black (or color of your choosing)

and in that 2nd pic the paint looks kinda messed up

sticky almost...i would do cold cathodes under the dash and seats

and LEDs in the cluster,ac vents, door pockets

thas just me tho...

I'm in the same boat - I want to paint that bezel but I do NOT want to lose my airbagged steering wheel. It will wreak havoc on your inspections, etc from what I've heard...

JUst my quick advice (and I am certainly no painting expert) but you may want to wet sand it and do one more coat. But it may just be the lighting/camera.

Good luck! I hear once you start painting, you'll end up doing the whole thing eventually...

Wet sand a spray a coat of CLEAR COAT not red. Looks pretty good to me.

Well, when I did them, I took the things out, then I sanded em, then I primered, then the red, then the clear coat, it looks way better in person, the pics are kinda messed up, it looks preety good in person though

and Ozzie, what is a cathode??

imho

a cathode is like a neon...but 10X better and almost 1/2 the price for 2

and not as bulky..

here's my favoritehttp://www.oznium.com/cathode-kit

heres a quick pick of how bright it is...

its really not that bad

i snappd that pix just so you can see the brightness

those cathodes are low quality, they use color stripes down the sdie, get better ones that actualy have the color gas.

and they dont look good, i had some and threw them away for better ones.

yes there ARE better ones...but b/c those are so bright..

you dont see the actuall blue stripes...granted if your gonna sit there

and stare at them durin the day (and dont tuck/hide them) you can see them

but seriously..who's gonna do that?

*on a side note...i did buy some from there a long while back..and another

set just recently ..and the brand of the acutal cathode did change...hmm?*

i think maybe next you should change that light grey color on the lower part of the main dash piece that holds everything in place...just my 2 cents...i thought the light grey looked bad on mine so i just painted/dyed everything grey black lol

you want to bump, then they will bump and hit real hard and a lot good.

Yeah, Im gonna change that ugly tan color thing under the steering wheel, but Im waiting till it gets a little warmer, cuz I do the painting in my basement, and the paint don't dry when its cold, so yeah

And the cathodes thing, If I tuck them, I think I'll be fine
