Lighted Switches
Tuesday, December 27, 2005 12:35 PM
I just bought some cold cathodes, and I was going to put the switches in the center thing, but I wanted to know if they sold any that were lighted. Like a red L.E.D. in it, or some other color would be fine

Basically, it would have the shape of an OEM rocker or a Round rocker except with a light in it... Thanks

Oh God yes,

Go to Google and type in "LED rocker switch"

There are several good sites to buy these (I have about a dozen in my Cav) and they come in Red, Blue, Green and Yellow I believe (the lights)

Enjoy!

You can get those things anywhere. I've seen them at radio shack, auto zone, napa, advance auto parts, if I remember correctly I even believe Wal-Mart carries a red lit one. I would also say you could find any color, any size, and any type online.

Damn Jason, I like those BUT I can't think of anything I would need to protect with the cover...I don't plan to add NOS and my 30mm gatling cannon is still on backorder...

Good to see Plasmaglow is adding new products - I've GOT to be your biggest Plasmaglow customer...

Anyway, this is what I thought the first guy was looking for...

not sure why one light is so much brighter in the pic, does not look like that in real life...

Thanks (if you were talking to me)

I'm gonna label the 5 switches on the P/S door as soon as I figure out what's getting hooked up where...

I print them in silver foil on clear vinyl that gets run through a second machine taht die-cuts them. Same process I use for my carbon fiber face icons and some other mods we produce.

that looks awesome where did you get it and how was the install
Re: Lighted Switches

I made it myself using some leftover carbon fiber and 4 switches. Install was easy - just measured very carefully where the holes needed to go and drilled through with a 3/4" spade bit. The switches have a clip system that holds them in tight, which also helps hold in the CF face. I would have set it back in the door instead of flush but no room...
Passenger door has same set-up to keep it balanced but I have not hooked up all of the switches over there yet. I need to run a power source into that door so I can have something to build on and I've just been waiting for one of those broke weekends where I have nothing better to do.

Thanks,

Steve
