Has anybody on here mounted there PS2 in the dash above the glove box? If so, how did you make the bracket and what did you do about the air duct (cut it and cap it or reroute it) and how. Pics of install???
you plan on removing the air bag? if so arent they both on a relay so if one is out the other doesnt work?
I would most likely have to remove it. Don't care about the drivers bag. There will eventually be an Aftermarket wheel there.
hey if thats what you want. check out the post a few down from this one that brian made about the ps2 in the glovebox. someone in there mentioned they put their ps2 where the passenger side airbag goes. he said he had pics so you might wanna contact him
ya, they are on a circuit. so if one is out, they are both out.
i have an aftermarket wheel, and since the driver one is gone, the airbag light is on, and the pass one dosent work
RIP Kasey Burleson, and get well soon Chris Shelly

He is talking about popping the cover and just putting it in place of the airbag. What I'm looking to do is cut a hole in the dash pad that stops right above the glove box and build a bracket to mount the PS2 in there. Just need a little instruction.
i see. well the only thing i can tell you is try and get some pics on here of someone that has their upper dash off so you can see whats there, then probably if its still possible to fit it in there, go to home depot or lowes and pick up some angles. you can take the screws out of the bottom of the ps2 and put the bracket on and re-fasten the screw back in w/ the angle now attached. im sure theres some metal back there or hard plastic and you could fasten the other end to or atleast do a back to back angle so you could get to another piece of metal
As you can see, the main part I'm worried about is the air duct.
well your gonna have to cut it out and block it off at the end of the ps2. if you remove the airbag theres probably enough room. its hard to really tell unless you physically take it yours out and put the ps2 there to see if it will work
Dont take out your airbag, man.
Find somewhere else to mount the PS2. How are you going to feel if you are in an accident and your passenger gets killed when the airbag would have saved them?
I am NOT judging you, do what you want. I understand the need to do cool stuff with our cars.
But do you REALLY want to sacrifice safety?
Just my two cents.
^^hes got a aftermarket wheel his air bag is already dead. seat belts are safer anyway.
seat belts PLUS airbag = survive
seat belts - airbag = hopefully survive
yeah, if the bag is already dead, may as well make use of that space I guess
maybe you can find a way to mount an XBox where the brakes used to be mounted...hehe

That's not a bad idea. I hardly ever use the brakes anyway. I'll get right on that.
