Putty for Interior use? Need recommendation

HI,

I'm finishing up the trim work on my in-dash Sirius Starmate install and I have a few little gaps here and there around the unit that I want to fill and touch up with a little paint.

What is a good "filler" to use in a 1/32" gap between the dash vinyl and my carbon fiber plate?

I'm looking for something I can fill the cracks in with, sand and paint.

Thanks! I'll post final pics when its done.

Steve

i cant think of anything for you to use, any type of filler is going to be hard and if it gets hit being on the vinely soft part will cause it to crack, something soft like a simple caulk type material wont sand and paint well.

OK, what I'll do is sand down all the edges and just do a 1/4" wide brushed aluminum trim piece that goes over the seam and I'll glue that down.
