ok .. well it seems like it doesn't pop out .. its the little molding around the switch for power sunroofs... . i want to take my headliner out but i can't because of this little peice and i can'r seem to find how it is held in .. can anyone help me ??
Once you remove the 2 retaining clips (located under your visors) you should be able to pull the headliner down enough to get to the other side of the sunroof switch assembly. There are 2 metal brackets attached to the switch that have to be bent back so the the whole thing will slide through the headliner. Then you can disconnect the harness and pop it out.
When you put the headliner back up, you will want to bend the brackets back down tight so it will stay snug up there.
Hope this helps

exactly as Blue Cav Customs just said, you should do this with the switch instead of putting it back up top though...
My favorite convenience mod I've done to my car...
Hmm...not bad. I may do something like that...
why is my sunroof button on the roof ? and not there
I put my sunroof switch down on the console as well. It was just so much work to reach up to the roof so far away. Now I just need a trunk switch next to it so I can stop turning the damn car off to open it.
so whats where the switch used to be now ?
the switch is still up there, haven't thought of anything, maybe when I recarpet the headliner I'll cover the open hole...
