SPRAY PAINT QUESTION

I have seen a lot of post about using krylon paint on the interior plastics and vinyls. Wouldn't any spraypaint do as long as you have a primer on there that sticks well?

the reason they talk about krylon FUSION, is that its a plastic paint that you dont NEED to sand or prime before using it, but it does look better if you do, so yea if you're gonna go thru the trouble of sanding and priming you can use any paint, i like the look of krylon satin, but ima stick with fusion for now

Well its a coin toss when buy spray can paint most are made for use after primer is applied. It not the paint that sticks to the plastic. It's the primer you have to get a flexable primer thats use for plastics. Ever see a dent on a door and the paint is chipped thats cause the primer and paint didn't flex when the dent happen sometimes even flex primer was used on a bumper and it was hit and the chip still happened ..it only gives out so much.. if you paint a area thats plastic sanding and cleaning is key you can but you still want a bit of ruffness for the primer to stick then more sanding i used a wet 600 on the primer for my dash..more cleaning and then the paint i haven't used the krylon fusion are vinyl paint but if there made for plastics i say giver! i went with motomaster (canadian tire) paint and primer and started on my vent flaps, small area just to see if it would work and yeah it did so i did the whole front and top dash and now i gotta were sun glasses just to drive good luck

i'd get all the parts sanded and see how much for a spary job of primer from a body shop if your picky if not just sand the hell out of it wash it down with vinagar/water 1 part vin 3 parts water and wipe with a clean rag then baking soda and water why cause the vin takes out any oil armorall etc and the baking soda neutarlizes the acid in the vinagar and any other stuff. any primer that says scratch filler. there are crappy primers out there. but i think krylon would have a primer i know that there paints are good looking colors. taggers on walls subways live by it .
