in my 04 cavi the radio is above the HVAC controls.... what years did the cavi have the HVAC above the radio and does anyone have a pic of an indash fold out opened up on when the radio is on bottom? Are the center vents covered by the screen liek they are on whe the radio is above the HVAC. And one last question.... what is involved in switching fom one to the other.... is it as easy as switching just the bezzle piece or does the whole dash have to be swapped out

they switched over in 00 i believe. i have a 98 and my radio is on the bottom. as far as relocationg them, i think its just a matter of swapping places but im not positive

need to swap out the entire dash, anouther guy wanted to do the same thing, but then found out you have to remove and replace wihta 95-99 dash. They put the hvac below the stereo in 00-05 and above the radio in 95-99.

one quick thing though ryan, make sure your shifter won't be in the way of your indash folding in and out (it IS a problem with the auto shifter i know, but not sure on the manuals) and no it shouldn't be blocking the vents. nino with the red and black cavi (saw his car at the october meet) had an indash in there. and it just wasn't blocking the vents.
