Ok, I just got some brackets fab'ed up by Scott Trent here on the Org. Now the passenger seat went in no problem. But the drivers belt buckle is attached to the stock seat/seat bracket. What can I do to attach the seat belt to the body, like the passenger buckle is?
Well, you'd have to drill it through the floor and secure it somehow . . . I know the brackets you're talking about cause Scott made mine too (yay Scott!). The brackets are too tight against the floor to bolt them to the brackets themselves as well. What I did through. Depending on what kind of seats you got. On mine, mine had a bolt on the side of the seat (where it connected to two halves together). That bolt, is actually the same exact bolt used to hold in the stock seatbelt to the slider. I took off that bolt, and attached the seatbelt connector to it, and rebolted the seat together, so it looks damn near stock. That may work for you, but it all depends what kind of seats you have.
that may or may not be to safe depending on the seat what i would do is take some 1/8th in steel flat bar stock bend and cut it to what ever shape or form you need and bolt the seat belt to that due to the stock brakets for our cars are actuall even thinner then 1/8th so im sure it would be safer.

Well . . . The stock seatbelt is attached the the stock seat regardless, so how isn't that any safer? The seat belt bracket would still be under the same stress if it got into a wreck as it would with stock.
im not saying that the seat belt receiver would not be safe but tell me this have your seats went through all the rigorous tests that by highway dept and dot that your stock seats did? i highly doubt it so i wouldn't be worried about you receiver i would be worried about your seat holding up. in my mind its better to be safe then sorry so that is why i built my seat brakets out of 1/8 inch C channel and 18th inch flat stock that thing is by far going to hold my seat in the car in any accident @!#$ the seat would probably rip its selt apart before the braket came off the floor. also keep in mind that there are some insurence agencys that if your seats aren't inspected you get into an accident and the seat fails you are not going to be covered just giving you my advice.
