Fine scratches in plastic

I think this would be the right place to post this.
I've had my head-unit about a year and a half now, but the faceplate has a lot of fine scratches on it. Now, they are not deep gouges, they are just light surface scratches, but they are starting to bug me. Is there any way to get rid of these? I'm hoping there is some product out there that could get rid of them without dulling the plastic out. Thanks in advance.

I used 3m rubbing compound on my headlights (clear plastic ones), and it took a majority of the scratches out, without dulling or clouding the plastic.
