Just wondering if there is any way to get rid of all the squeaking coming from around the dash area. Riding in my '03 sunfire is getting noisier inside than girlfriend's 02.
loosen some of the bolts. try and find the source, then go from there
Is there anything that would need to be added? Or could be added?
possibly some sound deadener, but not sure if that will cure it. i guess it depends on where and what the noise is coming from
When my brother complained about it when he got his new car he took it in and told them to fix it under warrenty.... they just crammed it full of the foamy stuff they put on to begin with.
I used velcro strips in my dash it killed about 90 percent of my noise. Just cut them to your own custom strips double up if you still here the noise afterwards
The dash in my Cavalier was squeaking incessantly...all I had to do was look at a bump, and it would squeak like crazy, so I bought 1/4" and 1/2" thick self-adhesive foam air-conditioning insulation (the kind you put around a window air conditioner to seal up the gaps) and I put it around the air vents, especially the defroster vent up by the windshield, and in other places where it looked like two panels may be rubbing. The only thing you'll want to be cautious of is not to let it touch the ducting for the heater, because I'm thinking it might smell bad or burn when you have the heater on. Other than that, it's not too difficult, and it works really well.
mine used to squeak. then i got motor mounts and exhaust..don't notice them as much anymore
14.82 @ 97 mph
just crank up the tunes that solves many problems

you want to bump, then they will bump and hit real hard and a lot good.
