i was wondering if anyone knew approximate how much cable is pulled to fully activate the ebrake on an 03 cavy. i was gonna hook it up to a quick response linear actuator.

50 #s of force is not enough to hold your ebrake, Remember its holding the force and weight of the car through the drum brakes.
And why would you want to do this? do you like damaging your car for fun?
haha..... so he can have a front wheel drift car... haha
how would it damage the car and i can get higher pull actuators
and if i wanted a front wheel drive drift car i would keep the e brake handle and remove the buttom lock mechanism

ever hear of servo action?
simple physics, when you learn it, ask me again why it wont work.
lol, I have learned physics I'm just saying, you dont need to apply for than 50lbs of force to apply an e-brake.

have you tried to lock your rear tires, at 60 mph on dry asphalt? i have, and its hard.
i took ap physics in high school and im taking college physics now and i was gonna use a cam to reduce the amount of pull and the the reason your cars rear tires dont lock at 60 is because of centrifical force, the amount of frictional force required from the rear shoe, is increased as the rotational speed of the increases. and im not trying to be an ass and lock my tires at 60,80 or at any speed. it will be to activate the e brake when the vehicle is parked, if i wanted to use to drift, i would just deactivate the button lock mechanism and leave it at that. so next time you want to bash on someones idaes, know what the hell your talking about and second i didnt ask for criticism from an idiot who couldnt come up with the idea him self, i asked for pull length, oh and by the way, the pull weight is 35.67 lbs at full activation.

As long as all that is right, I congratulate you on that statement. I just consider it ownage to certain above comments. And the fact that ur a noob and u have the registry filled out - good job.
That is all.
As for the total length I'm not sure off hand but i'll go see what I can come up with in about 30 seconds.

Well when you graduate to common sense, give me a call, my # is in my profile.
1) the pull is 1.53 inches.
2) i didnt bash you idea, Z24BALler did.
3) i have no need for such a mod, For as such no need for the idea, DUH!
4) i can lock my rear wheels anytime i want, because a simple modiciation to your rear drums allows me too. When you learn how to knurl your drums and shoes, try it, one of two things will happen. One, your tires will lock, and you will drag them, or two, you will brake every mechanical part in your rear brakes, btw if you dont already know, there are 5 springs per side.
ok i apologize for blaming you completely but....what did you mean by...
