hey guys, im wanting to do some fiberglassing to my cav, mainly the vinyl peices and was wondering how most of you go about doing this. Wondering if you glass over the vinyl or strip off the vinyl and glass over the plastick mold, or just make an all out custom peice. any tips on how to go about this would be helpful
With a little bit of serching you'll find that most people just rip off the vinyl and sand everything smooth before 'glassing.
it helps to rip off all the vinyl and sand the glue and all that junk off or tear off the vinyl and then drill a bunch of holes EVERY WHERE and then glass both side so it sticks.
dash striped drilled glassed filled sanded and primered.
my door panels drilled glassed and a litttle filler to level out and im going back with more glass soon.
