What would work best without having a roll bar or special bar for the harnesses? I cant tell, and anyone ever used these ones? Thanks much.

I dont understand how the retractor one attaches behind, and the bolt in ones, I am not sure how you would get the top ones to attach somewhere.

Um, I would have to say none of them because using harnesses without a roll bar or harness bar to install them on is unsafe.

If you did decide to just go to the floor, it looks like the 4 point bolt in would be your best bet. And just take the bolts straight to the floor. You might also, as some people, be able to run them to the back, under the rear deck but I still wouldn't do harnesses unless u have a roll bar or harness bar.

Ive seen some people connect them to the brackets under the back seats which are bolts in. Doesnt seem too safe in my opinion though seeing that it is only connected to the floor and not the frame or some sort or thick support. Too bad noone makes a legal harness bar for our cars.

I guess structurally I dont understand how bolting the harness between the floor and the bottom brackets of the seat brackets would be much better than installing a harness bar which is connected on the b pillars(something we have heard time and time again that is not structurally stable as in it couldnt handle reverse lambos)

If stock seats were bolted to these and dont collapse in an accident, i guess im just a little skeptical about that, that being said I may just install them for show and still use the stock harness as I drive daily.

Thanks for the input guys.

I have the Corbeau 3in 5 point harnesses in my car. Have for over a year now. I have them attached to where the factory seatbelt are bolted to under the rear seat bottom. If that place can't hold them nothing can. Mine come out at a 45 degree angle and the NHRA Tech inspector had no issue with them which makes it good enough for me until I get a cage.

I used to race cars, now I race myself.

The deal with bolting them to the floor isn't the big deal. They'll most likely be fine. The real problem comes in that if the angle is incorrect (which is what you get when you bolt them straight to the floor) if you were to get into a wreck, it could/would compress your spine and do some major damage.

Harness Bars do work. The dude from hardbar.net that originally made them was an engineer and did work on aviation and such. He actually had them tested to out perform what was required for what I think, if i remember right, the requirements for some drag racing application. You have to remember that reverse lambos are acting on the pillar a lot differently than a harness bar.

Gotcha thank you for the responses, I am an engineer, just not mechanical I didnt think about the actual impact on a body rather than the car

heres the deal if they are attached to the back bolts of your front seats or to the floor right behind the front seats they are completely worthless as seatbelts if your seat breaks. reason being the seats will fold forward and the harness will fold right along with it. if they are back at a 45 degree angle they will hold you back even if the seat back breaks. im using the 3 point harneses with the quick release and i like them allot. i tried the snap in harneness but for that you would have to have an attachment welded on in the back seat area because for them you wont have a way of attaching them with the way the car is setup stock. i bought these first and ended up switching them out for the standard bolt in ones with the quick release system. i beleive the retractable ones will bolt in just like their standard ones and work just like a standard seatbelt. as in be loose and have slack while driving around but soon as u slam on the breaks it will stop the slack just like a standard seatbelt. remember with harneses the material doesnt have the give like your standard seatbelts do so you have to have them pulled tight to be effective, if not your just risking your life. really no where to hook the 4 point harneses up to except for the single spot in the rear so it just made more sence to go with 3 points instead of trying to attach two pieces to a single point in the rear. and this attaches to where the stock seatbelts are and is hardened stell and safe. and as said above you really need to run a roll bar with this setup to be safe. harneses will be worse if you ever get into a roll over situation. roll bar is what im saving up for now. well besides my engine.
