I have a 2 door 2004 cavalier and wanted to get the windows tinted.....i attempted it but failed. anyone know how much it would cost me to get it done at a shop?

going to a good reputable shop will cost you over $200 (depending on where you live..its cheaper down south)
going any cheaper will get you an okay tint job and okay tint that may last for 3 years
i went to a great place with a good reputation and got 35% all around....a couple guys on the org have dealt with him...he does a great job...but like said above depends where ya live as far as pricing...

ours was like $220.00 after tax. That was for them removing the old tint and doing the flames and the windsheild too.

darkest we can do in NH legally... and i didnt feel like attempting it myself, especially with how difficult our rear windows are to get into...

depends what kind of town you live in id imagine. Small town your probably more prone to a ticket ive had 5% on ALL windows for like 2 years i havent gotton a ticket. I live in a somewhat big town and i think the cops have better things to do aswhere in a smaller town they dont.

i would have to say that it really depends. if a cops in a bad mood hell likely do anything he feels like. my best guess is that you wouldnt get pulled over for it, but if u got pulled over for another reason, he may give u some @!#$ about it. i honestly cant say.
i just didnt have somewhere else do it and go darker just cuz i didnt feel like having to deal with it. up to you. alot of "professional" places wont go darker then legal limit.
I asked to have mine done as dark as was legal, and they went WAY darker. And after I got broken into my insurance tinted my passanger window to the legal limit, so one window is darker then the other now.
I paid 65 to get my rear done, and I did the rest myself. Unfortunately i just removed the tint from the drivers and passenger door due to getting tired of getting pulled over. I was never cited because I always had a good excuse, but it just gets annoying after a while. (oh and it's 5% on the rear windows and 20% on the fronts)
im curious to see what a good excuse to have tint on ur windows is?..lol unless your allergeic to the sun or somethikng

, but i stepped mine up a lil bit more, put 2 layers of 5% on all rear windows and 5% on front doors, and 10 inch sunstrip

Where in NH are you from? I went to "tint it" in Manchester and they said that legally only rear 3 windows can be tinted. And also since you are from NH check out
