well, in light of me posting pics of what ive been working on lately, ive had several emails and PM's asking for a rear seat delete already cut to spec, and also the trunk false floor cut to spec.
my question to you is, are people really that interested in purchasing these? It seems so by the ammount of contacts i've had about them.
i would also be able to cover them in carpet, or a fabric of your choice for a little extra.
if you're interested in something like this, post up, and post what kind of price you think is reasonable. it would all be made out of MDF wood, so it will be sturdy!
ps- dont post here unless possibly interested. just because you may think its an easy task, some people arent willing to attempt it.
I would've been interested about two months ago. It's a good idea. But I see one problem... MDF is heavy. Shipping would be expensive.
I would be interested in the specs/plans for the trunk tho.

Id buy one of each of them. Not sure how much id want to pay but something reasonable considering Im sure theres alot of work that goes into that.
But yea i think it would be a good gp.
Arnjolt - MDF is heavy, but it is only 1/2" MDF, so its not horrible. ill pull my setup out tonight and weigh it. as for the template, ill see what i can do
AKZ24 - there is a bit of work, with all the precision cuts. im still undecided on a price. but, i should have an idea by tonight i hope
id also be interested depending on price too, and turn around time, would it be cheaper if u didnt cover it in anything?
also, would the rear seat delete come assembled, or not? cause I think shipping would kill me on the rear seat delete
i think i would be interested also, its just i have a vert and i am not sure if my specs would be different.
Orlando - it would be cheaper to have it not covered, which would be upto you. Turnaround, i could probably have one done every 2 days. the rear seat delete would come in 2 pieces, but with a lip for mounting to make it ready to install, so its easier to ship also. basically, you would have to run 3 or 4 screws, and thats it.
Topsub - as far as i know, the verts wouldnt change in those dimensions. if it were to come up further, that may be an issue, but for what we're looking at, i think it would be fine. maybe someone else can confirm or deny this
I'd be interested in the plans for this as well. The shipping would kill me...
Also, one question about the false floor in that pic...
Will that floor fit in with the rear seats still in? It looks like it goes a bit past there in the pic, but I could be wrong....
By the way, Easy, you do great work. Keep it up.

^^thanks man!! mine needed to be a little longer for what i have going in, but yes, i would be cutting them to fit behind the rear seat, or however you would want it really.
id be interested in the false floor also
Why not use a plexi or ABS plastic sheet instead of MDF. Would be lighter weight, but just as easy to cut and shape.
My Car Domain
i dont know about you, but i wouldnt like the flex that would have. unless you went with some real thick plexi, but then you getting right back up in weight, and a much higher cost to produce. MDF is reasonably cheap. and 1/2" MDF isnt that heavy.
especially when you use DHL who dosent ship by weight unless its over 110 lbs
Oh, okay... just curious...
How about a cool Carbon Fiber finish? That'd be sweet too (just throwing ideas out there)
My Car Domain
well, mines going to be partially covered in carbon fiber vinyl, mixed with some fiberglass detail
as far as real carbon, id be willing to try it, but prices on carbon are pretty high which jumps the price of the pieces up significantly. i was trying to do this reasonably cheap for peeps
I hope I am wrong, but I have a feeling people will not be happy with your prices. Some people don't realize all the work that goes into something like this.
Wide Body Progress
Maybe selling the plans would be Easier and More practical Instead of the the MDF and having to ship it and all.... making a cardboard cut out the the Buyer would just pretty much lay down trace then cut....

I'd be down for the plans for the RSD. It would be more cost effective not only for you as the shipper but the buyer as well, unless they do not have access to woodworking tools, in which case, they may be going for the final product.
^^thats what the people who msg'd me were looking for. something they could drop right in
hmm this is interesting to bad i already did mine or i would be up to this!
