95-99 gauge cluster problem
Sunday, May 07, 2006 1:19 AM
I bought n installed a indiglo gauge on my 95-99 gauge cluster w/ tach... I had 2 to remove the needles in order to install the indiglo gauge (duh)... Ok now i put it all back togethere properlly n when i started the car, all my gauges were OFF!!! My gas needle was off my RPM needle didnt even move when i started the car.... When i rev'd the car it would idle (redline) at 3grand instead of 4.... N my speedometer was off when i drove the car... For example, i was prolly doing 40mph when the needle was pointing at like 15/20mph.....

How can i solve this problem??? Is this common when doing the install??

Right now i put my 95-99 cluster w/o tach so i can have an acurate reading while im trying to fix the other cluster w/ tach with the indiglo....

Can i get some help??

drive behind one of your friends and have them tell you how fast they are going, look at the position of your speedometer and see how much it has to be adjusted. pull over and adjust the needle slightly. start driving behind your friend again until the speed he's going matches the speed on your cluster. its not the most accurate way to do it, but that's how most people do it. as for the tach, find out what your car should idle at and set the needle to that rpm, once you do that, everything should be fine.
