ight, so i got my back deck done, and i like the way it looks, but i got a problem. the spray glue i got from autozone just isnt keepin this vynal on in the heat. a friend of mine said he used some thick epoxy or something, you spread on but couldnt remember anything about it. whats a good glue to hold this stuff on?
also, im doin my headliner and want my visors to match. so, how do i get those little mirrors off those visors? and that damn light on my headliner. i searched and it said just to pull...if i pull any damn harder, its going to break. is there any tricks or anything to get this thing off?
any other comments or suggestions welcome.
thanx

i use 3m vinyl top spray ive found it holds up in the heat. select products has hight temp glue as well but i didnt like it as much.
for your glass bulb in the headliner you just have to bend that thing, everytime i take it out and put it in i always think im going to break it, so just be careful with it and bend it till it comes out. its the only way.
cant remember on the visors its been so long since ive done them i think they kinda slide up and out.

there is a special vinyl that is really streachy that will help if you get good glue
that sounds like alot of vinyl....
its gonna be hot as HELL in that car, is what im thinkin.
get headliner adhesive from autozone for the headliner. It's made to hold up in the heat. I did a vinyl/pleather whatever you wanna call it and it is holdin up great. It is dark or I would post some pics. Plus I don't have all the little nubs back up yet.....
yes sir, I tried the 77 and my first headliner dropped. So I went with the headliner adhesive and it is holding up superbly.... definitely go with a glue that is meant to hold up to the heat.
3m 90 for me
black vynl headliner has now lasted i think 3 summers of consistant 100+ degree days
u just have to know how to use it.
u spray one THICK laye on. u let it sit for a few minutes until it starts to get tacky. then u spray ANOTHER layer on top of that. let it get tacky. THEN u put the material on.
and what i did was WALK all over my headliner. not the best thign to do but i wanted to make sure it was getting full contact everywhere.
The biggest hole, is the illusion of invulnerability.
