if the top plastic comes loose i would try to remove it. its just a protective cover to prevent scratchs, but being in your cluster there not gonna get hurt.
Sweet! That's gonna save me about $20.00
i was thinking about picking up a set of these, are you guys happy with the purchase still? and i heard there have been problems about them staying in place? yes no and if so what was the fix? thanks
Well i have not had problems with it staying in place it's sits in there perfectly. Like i said before i love mine i'm just having problems with the protective plastic that i now have a solution for.
mine work fine, the only thing i had a hard time w/ was making sure the sides stayed on (the sides w/ all the lights like cel, turn signals, brakes, etc...). they only give you one little pin hole to hold it to and it usually doesnt stay so i got clear tape and put a little tab on it
it's hard to find love for the m/t with tach, on these gauges
Nope, it ain't stock.
do they have a set for a 99 auto, i looked but there is no trac light and the far left side, i have a 4 speed too
fully built 2200-TO4E T3/T4-HP tuners-373hp @18psi
i'd go with the Procarparts set, ive had the other style, just to have them not fit very well. I do have an issue with both the old ebay type, and the PCP set. The needles either hit the gauge or something, as they stick, and hitting the dash seems to take care of the job, or if the car's warm on the inside, then they dont stick. I was thinking of using double sided tape, maybe it'll hold better, otherwise im not sure whats up with them.

got mine here.
Procarparts
I have the silver ones
yeah i looked there too. sorry, i was speaking about love for the 95-99 years. i had emailed procarparts a while back to asked if they were doing anything with the 95-99 M/T w/tach, and the only response i got was.........."Soon".........and that was it. talk about customer response
Nope, it ain't stock.
sorry again, just saw where the original post was for the 00+
Nope, it ain't stock.
well i can also say that i had this issue with my gauge face, i decided to just take them off.... i only paid 14 for them shipped, and i rather not f up my cluster to try to keep a cheap overlay. ia m currently looking into the 140 conversion from black cat customs. if you have any luck with removing the cover, please let us know, i might investigate that a bit.
i'd really like to find a way to turn them on automatically with the lights...

Cavillac
Then wire them up to the headlight switch. Thats how mine is wired in. Turn on parking lights, reverse glow gauges turn on with them.
I don't know how I would do that with the setup I got...
It has a push button switch. press it once, it turns on. press it again, it turns off. this switch goes into the invertor box, and is sealed up. I'll post some pics later, maybe you guys know a way to fix it up.

bftd,,, just wondering how you do wire the face up to the headlight switch...
never mind, i figured it out...
Those guages are hot I wish they made them for us canadians and our km/h
I just ordered the 2000-2002 Chevy Cavalier with Tach Euro Reverse Glow Gauges off of Ebay except it wasn't from ProCarParts, it was from D1Zone. So I'm hoping they work.
i wouldnt use it ive already had to replace my gauge cluster on my cav and my buddys cav also
it will work just remove the film off the gauges when your first get them.
