fiberglass door panel issue

Ok, i made a boo-boo, when i started glassing my door panel i did not allow for the holes where the door lock switch panel and the armrest have to get mounted back in and now they wont seat into position properly. What is the best way to fix it so i can put the door panel back together after im done glassing it.

Also I noticed that after two layers of glass on top of my fleece its slightly more than 1/8" thick, is this normal?

sorry for the newb questions, first time glassing.

You should be able to cutout the areas where you do not want the glass. I plan on cutting out the area where my armrest sits, so that it fits snugly like before I glassed it.

a dremel works perfectly for cutting fiberglass or small plastic pieces
