ive had a reverse glow gauge installed in my sunfire and now, my gauge dont realy work too well, i didnt do the installation but they just dont work too well, the rpm gauge works when it is warm outside but my speedometer does not work well at all, what can i do to fix this?
What year car??
Fill out your profile with ur cars info and it helps us a lot.
I'm thinking you might be best off just buyin a new cluster if ur car is newer, but idk, cause idk ur year.

sry, just joined, its a 98 2.2L coupe
You could try messin with the wires goin into the cluster ot just smackin the dash but I would just get a new cluster IMO.
It may be simpler though, so I'd wait till someone else chimes in.

yea when i hit it, it works and goes to where its supposed to, but its getting annoying now and i need to know how fast im going
You could take the dash off (pretty easy) and see if the cluster connector is loose and make sure that the wires into the cluster are good and such.

yea i tried that lol, i dont have the right size wrench to disconnect the bolts near the airbag
O, well maybe u should get the right size - lol.
I thought they were all the same size, i guess not.

I dont know, i could try it again, but i dont want to mess any thing up
your problem is the overlays are cheap. basically what it is is the needle rubs on the gauges and sometimes doenst move. take the plastic piece off the cluster and pull the needle away a tad with a pair of plyers
Ill try that, thanks alot!
