rear window haze??

Ok, I wasn't sure where to post this, but since it is coming from the inside, I'll post it on interior....
Anyhow, about a month ago I decided to reupholster my rear deck cover since I moved my 6x9's under it instead of coming up through it (otherwise it would have had 2 big holes where speakers were) and I bought some cheap spray adhesive to do it. While I was doing that I used some cheap sound dampening to cover the rear deck since I had the cover off and was moving the speakers. (Ok, I used peel and seal because it is basically the same as the cheap stuff). Anyhow, since then about every 5-7 days my rear window gets really hazy, to the point where it is very hard to see out of. I got sick of cleaning it so much, and thought it was the adhesive, so I went to a yard and got a new cover and dyed that. Well, that worked for a couple of days but to my suprise it soon got hazy again. Has anyone else had this problem?? If so how did you fix it?? If not, any ideas what I could do to fix it?? Thanks.

Peel and seal seems to be your issue. Its not meant for high temps sometimes found inside of cars. Its kinda like chemical evaporation, but it has nowhere to go, so ends up on your window.

If you think otherwise, such as your adhesive, take some goo gone, and clean your windows with it, if the haze comes back, its not the adhesive.

BTW, is you rear window tinted?

Quit smokin weed in your car. That should take care of it.

Heh, didn't think about the weed... j/k, I'll try the goo gone, if that don't work I'll have to remove the peel and seal. I was thinking it could be that, it did seem a little more gooey than dynamat, just couldn't afford the 120+ feet of that to do the whole car. Probably not much of a difference without the rear deck insulated anyhow. Thanks.

120 ft?

*WTF*WTF*WTF

you can get fatmat @100 square feet for $100 shipped. Thats more then enough to do the entire car 1.5 times.

True I can get fatmat for that price, but it is basically the same as peel and seal, rubberized asphalt. I did think 100 square feet would be enough, and since I had a bulk pack of dynamat installed allready (36 feet) I thought it would be cheaper to buy a couple rolls of peel and seal. I ended up buying about 75 square feet of peel and seal also. Now I have everything covered except my roof and pass. door. I have about 10 square feet left, which I figure will be enough to cover the door, then I figure about another 15 for the roof. I was going to wait and get something butyl based for that, since it will be upside down and the rubberized asphalt wont hold up too good. Anyhow, it does take a little over 100 feet to cover everything, especially if you want to double up some places. Though that would probably be more than enough to just get basic/trouble areas good. I have heard of people using up to 150 square feet also just to get it extra good.

Oh, forgot in last post, windows aren't tinted.

thanks
