Power window switch question
Thursday, June 22, 2006 1:06 PM
I have been thinking about doing a passenger-side express down power window, but since I don't actually have power windows yet, I have a question:

Is it possible to remove the switches from the bezel individually, or can they only be removed as both together?

Another question - I have the connector for the power window buttons, and there are 2 brown wires (one in the 'A' pin and one in the 'H' pin). In my Chiltons book, it says one brown wire goes to the main power and one goes to the driver's side window motor, but it doesn't say which one goes to which. Does anybody know if it's the 'A' or 'H' wire?

Like always, thanks for any info

The brown wire in the "a" cavity goes to the window motor.

The brown wire in the "h" cavity goes to main power.

We've all discussed this at length many times before and the general consensus is that if you want passanger express down, you'll need to buy a special part from a security system, etc to do it. The stock switch is not easily modified to allow this. But I'd sure LIKE to do it if anyone ever figures it out!
