Dash question for sunfires

Ok folks, i did a search and did not come up with anything definitve, that answers my question one way or the other.

Does the dash pad on the 2003+ sunfires swap perfectly to say my 2000 fire? Do the vents line up, and is there anything else i need to be aware of?

I just installed an '03+ dash pad in my car this past weekend. It's a perfect fit. The only thing that is off is the air ducts for the vents. I forgot to grab the '03+ ducts for mine, but I used the air in the car the other day and everything was flowing out the vents just fine. The older style ducts don't effect anything other than the looks. If you look directly into the vents you can see that the ducts don't line up, but that's the only "problem" with an '03+ dash in a '95-'02.

Yep, like said above its a perfect fit. Only difference is the air ducts, but they will still work fine. I have had an 03 dash in mine for over a year. If you plan on buying one somewhere, try to find one in a junkyard that has the airbag cover blown. Sometimes that will be the only thing wrong with the dash and you can get the whole dash pad cheap (the airbag cover from any year sunfire dash will swap onto the 03 dashpad.).

Yep, blown air bags is definitely the way to go if at all possible. I paid $25 for mine because the air bags were blown. Replacing the air bag cover only takes a few minutes so it's definitely well worth the money you'll save.

Update: Not a single junkyard has the dash pad available, how much is it from the dealership?

Im not 100% sure on this part #. You should check with your local dealership to make sure this # is correct but:

GM Part #22682873

GM LIST: $527.88
GMPARTSDIRECT: $312.93

If I were you, I would just keep checking your local junkyards, eBay, etc. It took me over a year to find one, but it was worth it because it only cost me $25.00. I'm sure you're impatient just like I was, but trust me, eventually you will find one and you'll be glad you waited when you get it for cheap. Just my .02 though.
