I want to paint the glove box. Does the cover come off to make this easy? Or is it all one. I am painting with spray can and don't want to tape off whole interior to paint it.

Pop out the little arm that dictates how far it'll go down
take out the screws on the hinge at the bottom
unsrew cover from backing and metal plate
just remember how to put the opener back together
