I want everyones opion on how you go about fiberglassing your interior. I have had some people tell me you can just sand it down and coat it with resin and then paint it. I have had other tell me you have to drill holes and use the fiberglass matting. Let me know.

Ban low-performance cars, not high-performance ones.
Yeah, it's all about what works and looks best to you. If you want some info on it, there are a lot of people on here who surely wouldnt mind giving you the basics.
Woooo bubbies.
the best way to fiberglass is to search
I'll just save you the search even though you should have done it
strip all the crap off the dash rough it up good so the fiberglass has something to bond to and drill holes filling in those holes from the underside so the glass has something to grab onto. If you just sand and glass its gonna crack

Here is a complete writeup I did when I fiberglassed my door panels. You should be able to take most of the steps for fiberglassing from that and apply it to your dash.
HOW TO: Fiberglass Your Door Panels
There are only a few differences when doing your dash.
1. You must tear the vinyl off. Like said earlier, drill holes, and fiberglass the back. This way, when you fiberglass the front, it will stick to itself.
2. You definatly need to use mat. Fiberglass gets its strength from the mat, not the resin.
3. One of my biggest suggestions is after you apply the resin, reinstall the piece. Otherwise, it will shrink/warp and not fit.
Good luck, and post up some pics.
