Just as the topic states, this is an interest post to see if anyone in interested in a genuine CF dash. Pics, thanks to CarbonCavi, can be found here:

Currently only black CF is available because of the carbon shortage. If you are interested, or have any questions, you can post in this topic. I am located in NJ and would need the dash shipped.

For an idea of pricing, each dash is roughly $350US. If we can get a few people together, 5+, we can work out a deal with the CF company, a local supplier, and the supplier of the other supplies as well and drop the cost. As of now, I have no idea what sort of discount they would be willing to give, but I believe we can work something out.

All I need right now is an idea of anyone who is interest, NO E-MAIL ADDRESSES!!! Just a simple yes will do for now.

A Sunfire Dash (95-02) would be pretty cool.

would be nice. good luck getting people to come up with that kinda cash around here though. you'll have a post of 50 people who "definately want one" but arent willing to pay more than $100 for it.
JBO is notorious for it.

on another note, would you be able to wrap a dash that isnt quite stock? i have a few modifications to one id like to get done in cf

I'm interested... price needs to drop though... I know there is the shortage in CF and it is not cheap by any means... but 350 could be put to use elsewhere. It would definitely be a NICE addition though.

I will see what I can about the prices, like I said, if we get a group together we can get a break on the CF. I will be in and out all day and I work on the weekends, I will check back often though. I will def see what I can do for everyone!

I will talk to the CF people next week and work something out, I should be able to get the price lower. Too bad there is such a big shortage I will be on here when I can to update, and to check for any questions. Hopefully we can get a GP going on this!

revived if you think the price needs to drop and the money could be used somewhere else then put it somewhere else, he cant cater to everyone with the shortage of CF around, and this is the only thing thats been on the org since ben was here, and not many got done, so who knows when this will swing around again.

okay, no need to get panties in twist... if you would read my post, it says I UNDERSTAND there is a SHORTAGE of CF... so of course this is going to make the price higher... and no where did I say any body needs to "cater" to me... I understand these dashes aren't just something that pop out of a vending machine! I have a ton of respect for the members that are willing to take their personel time to create something so that the rest of us can enjoy it, that is what makes this site so unique and awesome compared to others. With that said, THANK YOU Sam for doing this, and I hope we can get a big turn out with this.

Brad, whenever this gets started up as a GP, the updated prices will be there. Thanks for your interest.

Also, like I said before, this is for interest and the $350 is not a set price, and the price will MOST LIKELY drop.

ALSO, I would like to say that if, in addition and depending on turn out, I have some extra CF after some calculations and such, I could *possibly* CF a small piece as well, included in the price. An example would be the dimmer switch. Are you guys up for that as well? Suggestions on parts are welcome at this time. That part could be sent in at the same time as the dash.

I will get a better handle on what sort of prices I can do on Monday night and will post as soon as I know.

Guys, just relax. I am working the best I can w. the prices and w. the shortage....this is def not easy.

sam dude its all good, i know i want my armrest wrapped too but ill pay extra for that.

Orange, No, I do not have pics of my works because I don't own a digital camera. Sorry? I will see what I can do for ya though. What I can tell you is that I am enrolled in a customizing class, and this could be done during project time, with the instructor who has been doing this for 11 years.

Thats all good that you can do it in class but if this does become a group purchase which I highly doubt it will because of price ( not complaining just know how this is gonna end up). I know a huge question for those sending you there parts and money will wanna know how long its gonna take for there dash to be finished when your doing as many as you hope to be doing. I guess that's another question to be answered.

I know there was one GP for LED's and I think it was raptor but he got completely swamped by so many people that there was no choice but for it to fall through.

Just throwin that one out there.

CzapskiKandyKav - The last post stated that it would take a few days. I have a p/t job, and I will possibly have my friend help me out on the weekends so I think I can get 5 or 6 out in under 2 weeks, esp with project time.

might be sounding stupid here, but this cf dash, i'm gussing it replaces the original dash and the picture that i saw, would it also cover the vent on top as well as covering the air bag?



Nope, it ain't stock.

betonmyz - no, it would not cover the vent. As for the airbag, I believe that piece just pops off, and I can CF that seperately. I just have to double check or have someone here confirm it, since I have not torn apart my dash to see.
