Horn Woes

So, I finally got a hub adapter for my wheel and of course, I run into problems. I ran the horn wire to what I assumed was not the ground on the cheap-o horn button and I grounded the other tab to the hub. At first, I got a few beeps at a constant interval. Then the horn quit when I removed the horn wire from the horn button. Pushing the button had no effect on the beeps. So, I knew there I had problems. I try a second time and get nothing, no beeps, button doesn't work, nothing. Zero noise. So, I do a little wire jiggling here and there. Still nothing. When I touch the horn wire the steering column bolt, it will beep. I don't know why. But, I really need some help on figuring out why my horn button wont work. I can get pictures if anyone requests them.

well i was about to reply to this thread as after i read it earlier today i did some research for you.
FYI - you could have searched and found your answer instead of re-posting the question. dont get upset because people dont sit here and wait for someone to post something so they can answer it immediately. people do work. be patient and someone will answer your question when they get a chance like i was going to.

Yeah, I feel bad now. I had just finished up the wheel project and was quite frustrated. Thanks brother.
