Dude I know your new and all, but you should do a search before you ask questions, otherwise you won't make many friends on here. But consider this your free pass. To answer your question, it all depends on your gauge cluster age. Pre 00+ guages needles have to be removed. On 00+ gauges removing the needles ruin them and you need to slide them over. Some people like to add a thin layer and I mean thin layer of epoxy or glue to keep the face from peeling back or coming loose. Its all up to you. Either way is correct in doing it. Just be carefull. Any more info you need, run a search.

Happy moddin dude and welcome to the .org

I would really like to know how you get gauge overlays on without removing the needles. I removed mine when I had my cavy and couldn't possibly see another way.

its not hard at all. you point them all up and then slide it down and over. it puts a little pressure on the needles but its fine. no need to take them off

Specially for the 00+ clusters . . . You can't remove those needles without destroying the cluster.
