here's a tip from from the old guy on the org.it's how to use a screw on style shift knob on your jbody.
here's what i had,a momo billet competition knob.(1)
knob removed(2,3)
i used a lokar kit for their automatic shifter.(shift knob adapter sk-6878) 28 bucks at the goodguys carshow.all you need out of the kit is the billet adapter piece and the big allen screw that screws into the billet piece.the kit comes with 2 small nylon set screws that you need to replace with metal ones(less than a 1.00)the shift knob i used is a gennie knob,it comes with threaded inserts to fit the lokar adapter(4-8)
shift knob installed(9,10)

Go back to the nice billet one you had before.

I like the white and blue one. It's different. Is that one of those resin knobs that won't burn you in the summer, and have your hand freeze to it in the winter? BTW, for 5 speed cars, the easier way to use a threaded knob is to determine the thread pitch of the knob, and use a die kit to ream the threads into the stock shifter. It's how I did my B&M hammerhead knob when I had it. I'm rockin' a fireball knob now.
Gotta keep on livin', L-I-V-I-N
It's a nice knob (haha, that sounds SO DIRTY), it just doesn't match the rest of the interior's theme. Other than that, thumbs up.
