Tilt wheel on an 04 base model?

Ok, I bought a 2004 base model cavy a few months ago and im finally starting to get annoyed that I cannot adjust the steering wheel height to my liking. A buddy of mine told me that I could take the tilt steering lever off of pretty much any cavy and screw it right into the steering colum because there was already the necessary stuff there to make it work, just no lever. Is this true? I NEED TILT STEERING

Ok guys, I took off the casing for my steering colum and did some looking around, it definately isnt as easy as just screwing in the tilt steering lever. Aparently from what I have seen so far, any of you with base model cavaliers will have to replace the entire steering colum to gain this feature.
But its all good, im gonna go ahead and pull off a steering colum from a cavy at the junk yard and make it work. should be pretty simple to swap out.

^^^^^^^^^^^^ don't take one off a really bad front end wreck. our cars have collapsible steering columns, and it could be damaged from the wreck. but the need to be hit pretty hard for that to happen.
