My 96 cavy came from the factory with the beige dash and door panels. I am not a big fan of light colored interiors, especially since most of my interior accenting is bright blue. Anyway I had never painted an interior before, so I went to the local salvage yard, figuring I would pick up a second set of panels there, and paint them. That way I would still have my originals if I screwed them up. Well, while I was looking, I found a cavy with a completely blue interior, I mean, everything in this car was blue!!! the dash pad, all plastics, everything. I didn't want all of it, that was just too much for me. I took the door panels, and the dash. I separated the door panels into top and bottom halves, and re-assembled the blue bottoms with the black tops. Any way, I had never heard of a completely blue interior in a 96 cavy before, and I really do like the stock look better than a painted look. Plus the panels are a perfect match to the color of my Mazda MX-3 seats. and here are a few pics of the finished product. I think it turned out great. Anyway, I just wanted to know if it really was a rare color, or if I was just mis informed.
Rare but not that rare. In the 7 years I have worked at my dealership I have seen probably 12 different cavaliers with the blue interior.
yeh not to rare.. ive seen 3 in the junkyard i normally go to and i almost bought a white z with one..
Not too rare, cause i got a 97 cav with the all blue interior and exterior too, it gets really annoying with all that light ass ugly blue!
Lifes a B**ch,
You marry one,
Then you DIE!!
i love my blue interior, it matches the outside of the car so nice
