ive searched this and really havent came up with anything maybe im searching the wrong thing....
anyways, ive put leds into two gauge clusters but both cars have fit into the 95-99 bracket, now ive got a friend who wants them in his 2001....but im not sure if itll screw everything up or not, im not taking off the needles, just replacing the bulbs... will this still work, as i dont wanna screw up his cluster and then have to buy him a new one
The way I did it, with some help, was use a dremel, cut holes in the top of the cluster, use a hot glue gun with 2 or 4 led pods (4 or 6 leds in each pod) and glue the pods facing into the cluster. Wire up the leds to a switch or splice them into something, dim the lights all the way down, enjoy the leds in the cluster.
Its not that difficult to do, just dont cut into the green computer thing of the cluster, only cut into the plastic at the top and make sure you get all the plastic that falls in there out.
I think theres a topic with this somewhere, or maybe theres another way?
DON'T REMOVE ANY NEEDLES ON 2000+ CLUSTER!!!
but u can add LEDS
